The new patent bar simulator uses actual previous exams (selected from over 2000 questions, from 1993 to 2003). Real exam questions from 2004, 2005, and 2006 exams are included. After going over this CD, you will be able to recognize up to 60 repeat exam questions. These questions are identical to 2001-2006 exam questions on the CD.
In addition to 12 set of real patent bar exams, frequently tested exam questions (~800 past questions) in this version are further organized by MPEP chapters. Frequently tested (repeat) exam questions are highlighted in the practice test.
USPTO Registration Exam Simulator:
The United States Patent and Trademark Office replaced the traditional semi-annual paper-based Registration Exam (Patent Bar) with a computerized year-round offering in the summer of 2004. InnoVita, Inc. developed an emulation of the USPTO patent bar testing software as an aid to prospective registration examinees who wish to practice for the patent bar under the most realistic conditions available outside of the actual exam. Our software mirrors the basic functionality and navigational controls of the new patent bar testing software (see Prometric web site http://www.prometric.com/demos/uspto/starthere.htm)and combines this authentic recreation with actual USPTO test questions to provide a completely realistic testing environment.
All of our patent bar exams have been updated to reflect the changes to the law and the rules brought about by the American Inventor´s Protection Act of 1999. The software grades each completed test session and provides the correct answers alongside explanations for each question. The software is browser based (currently only Microsoft Internet Explorer is supported), and contains 12 real PTO exams (1997-2003) available for computerized test. Older exams (1993-1996) are also available for reference. After a simulated test, you can review all questions and read the standard answers provided by USPTO using the software. All questions and answers are also available in PDF format.
This is one of the most extensive testing softwares available to you, at a fraction of the cost of other vendors (i.e., PRG, PLI, BarBri, which could cost you up to $2690). If you go through all the exam questions we are sure you will pass the exam on your first try.
In addition to the software, the CD includes all of the materials downloadable from USPTO website and other IP law websites. Specifically:
